Default camera insurance

Have just bought a new camera after flooding my old one ( digital). there
was a thread sometime ago about flooding insurance. Anyone got any
recommendations for insuring cameras ( company and cost) Have now got an
olympous 5060 with pt020 hosing

Try checking your credit card insurance policy to look for accidental damage
clauses. Assuming you bought it by credit card and it cost more than the
card's minimum insured value (usually about fifty squids) then it should be
covered for at least the next year.

Sorry - don't know about any specialist insurance companies...

Hi Nick,

I have just manged to flood mine as well. However it is insured with DIve
Master Insurance.

I have sent in a claim and I now have to get a repair estimate or a letter
from repairers saying uneconomical to repair. They will then try to find a
replacement for it first or reimburse the value. However if they replace it
they will not insure the housing again unless it is pressure tested.

I will let you know how I get on.
