| I assume you mean the small gauges like those produced by AP Valves produces. I use those on my O2 stage and for what it is worth, I had no problems with it. You might want to call the manufacturer. I don't know what the official line is but having seen two go pop I really would not like that to be HP Oxygen up the back of them. I like the one I have on the suit bottle but I always turn it on gingerly as that's when two (belonging to other people) burst. Argon, no worries, air probably quite safe, what nitrox to stop at - your call. nigelH |

| Nick, I just spoke with Ambient Pressure Diving. They sell the Buddy gauges. Normally, these are not O2 clean, but if you ask for it specifically, they can do that. You can call APD directly (ask for Nicky...) and they will post it to you. Hope this helps. Surely they're sealed units so all they can really do is clean the connector?! |

Surely if they are sealed units you just throw them in the cleaning bath, make sure the gunk has gone down the pipe, buzz them for the required time and dry them thoroughly making sure all the gunk is out again. That's clean. Oxygen clean isn't like surgically sterile where contamination is assumed unless proved otherwise. You can touch things that are oxygen clean. We just done want a smear of grease from the assembly process left there. nigelH |
