I notice today that the FCO have updated their advice about Siani, saying
tthat terrorist threat is still there and now includes the threat of
kidnapping!

I go on the 1st to sharm, maybe

Just back from Dahab. We only knew that something happened when friends and
family started to phone to ask if we were OK. For the rest nobody over
there seemed to worry much. There were a bit more controls on the roads,
but otherwise it was business as usual.

Default Sharm & Terrorist Attacks

Off to Sharm for 2 weeks in November - or are we?

What do people feel about the risks, given what happened last night in
Taba and a couple of other places in Sinai?

I'm off there myself 31st October, everything looks OK. I've got a
forum on my site with a notices section, the relevant links for the
Foreign Office are all there.
