If Padi *recommend* that you take the deep diving Speciality otherwise you are not *qualified* to that depth, what happens if you're the dive organiser and something goes wrong. As for diving deeper than previously dived, we all do that.....how else do we get to the depths we dive to. But we do it in circumstances that are comfortable for ourselves.
