I've never trusted any makes of dive computer other than Suunto. I used to
have a Solution Nitrx, and now have the Vytec, my wife has a Vyper.

If you do get the Vytec, then dont waste money on the wireless pressure
transmitter. A good metal bodied SPG will be more reliable and won't need
batteries.

Default Mares M1 fault.

On a recent dive I did, my Mares M1 (for the first time ever) became
very difficult to turn on. This was a 33% Nitrox mix dive (again for
the first time with this computer). Normally I just use air tables
with Nitrox. I managed to set it to Nitrox then and relied on the
water to switch the computer on (which it did).

The computer seemed to behave during the dives (2 of them) and I
run a bottom timer alongside and they were comparable. But on
downloading the dives using Iris I couldn't find the dives. On closer
inspection the date had reset on the Computer so the dives had
switched to the start of my log (Effectively it hard hard booted
itself). More concerning was the profiles, although the computer did
register the maximum depth there was no profile as such just a red
line at 0 meters for the duration of the dive. .

Has anyone ever seen this before? Do you have any suggestions?
Should I dive with this computer again?
