November will have 25-27 degrees In Hurghada where it is very windy in Feb-Apr the water temp drops to 22. at 1200metres at the bottom of the red sea it drops to a freezing 20 degrees C ... a 3mm long with 2mm shortie over the top should be enough even at 1200 m |

If it were your wetsuits would be paper thin as 120 Bar presure is a bit much for any wetsuit insulation, and would only be useful if you needed no wetsuit at 20 degrees. -- >replace spamblock with my family name to e-mail me |

| Just book a holiday to Sharm for 3rd week November and am wondering what thickness suit I would need. I usually dive carribbean and med in summer 26-28 degree using a 2mm shortie and find it appropriate for a 1hr dive (with my personal layer of insulation). Girlfriend tends to find it a little cold toward to end of a long dive and and she has suggested that I buy her a new suit at the show!! Ive tried to do my homework *google" and reckon that the redsea is 25-27 deg in November dropping rapidly to 18-20 degrees in January. Is by estimate of water tempreature correct? What suit thickness are other who have been using for this time in November? |

When I've done it I've been fine in a one piece 3mm. It can be worth taking a hood as this takes no room in the luggage but keeps you massively warmer and therefore adds an easy boost to your insulation Pete diving 'at' melbourne 'dot' me 'dot' uk |
