| > If 2mm shorty requires 7kg - How much for a 3mm full length? > If 2mm shorty requires 8kg - How much for a 3mm full length? Should only be an extra couple of kg max. Then again, it does seem particularly high just for the 2mm shorty so just try it I suppose. Start with 10kg and if you don't sink easily just quickly chuck a weight into your pocket and then resort your belt for the next dive. If you find yourself starting to get a bit floaty during the dive then hopefully you're diving somewhere with lots of rocks on the bottom :O) Last year in the Red Sea I found the difference between 3mm shorty, 3mm long, and both together was negligible - certainly didn't have to change my weight so the bouyancies involved can't be more than a kg or two. You are being hypothetical, aren't you? I weigh 100kg, and I only use 2kg with a 2mm shorty. You are winding us up? 7kg? Pete S. |
