Default Re: Converting a buddy BCD to universal type inflator fitting?

One solution that I have seen to this problem is to change the inflator
controls and hose connections so that they are all the same. I have seen
Buddy jackets with Scubapro inflators fitted to the corrigated hose so that
they are compatible. Expensive, but effective.

I don't believe this is true. I have changed many inflators over the
years on many different pieces of kit and the threads into the plastic
have all been common, and all okay.

It is also a very good idea at the same time to change suit inflators
to the same common fitting, so you can swith them over during a dive
if you have to
