I have a Bodaine (mini) reel, but I use it only for warm water diving. It's
too small to use with thick gloves.

The reel I use in our waters is the Beaver Kingfisher reel: it's far more
sturdy than their other ones. I really like it.

Any of you guys tried one of those spools that the DIR types seem to love? I
bought one myself at the last dive show and after bit of a shakey start, I
actually get on with it really well.
