| I'm organising a trip to Scapa at the start of April (1st to 10th) for Warwick Uni Sub Aqua Club, and due various different problems a few people had to drop out. Currently, we've got up to 6 spaces available on the boat, with a minibus sorted and a ferry booked. It would be good to ideally find another group of 4-6 rather than lots of individuals, just to make organisation a little easier, but might be flexible on that... Up in Scapa, we're booked onto the MV Bounteous Sea as a liveaboard - it's one of the biggest boats in Scapa apparently and looks really nice from the website (www.orkneyislandscharters.co.uk). More details are available from the website - Nitrox is available onboard, and we'll be returning to harbour each evening so its possible to go off and wonder around the town. The price will depend on numbers - ideally we want 10-12 people, which will cost £230 - £200 for the diving and accommodation, and the transport and ferry would cost around £45 - £55 per person. At the minute we're thinking of doing self-catering on the boat, but breakfast and lunch is an option for an extra £40 each per week. Nitrox is extra. We'll be travelling up from Coventry on the 1st April, leaving probably around 5pm, and should be back in Cov early morning on the 10th April. Depending on where you are in the country we may be able to pick you up or meet you somewhere. We'd prefer people to come with us in the minibus to keep costs down. If you're interested you'd need to be happy doing this kind of diving. I'm not going to say that I want any particular minimum qualification, but I would want to know how much experience everyone had before we agree - I don't want to surface from a dive to find someone being flown off in a helicopter! I think thats everything you might need to know for now - obviously if you're interested or have any questions then please do get in touch.
