If you are that poor, you can always use dive tables. If you want to
buy new, but inexpensive, shop around. Compare prices at your local
dive shop with on-line merchants. If it's an on-line merchant, make
sure they ship to where you live.

If you're only using air and nothing else, why spend money on a nitrox
computer? Stick to a Suunto Octopus instead of a Vyper, for example.

Also, have a look at the Sensus Pro dive recorder as reviewed in Diver this
month. I have no connection to the mag or the company I assure you. It
appears to be a half-way house. You dive on tables, but you get a
computer-style profile record of your dive.
