Plan is to cut out some lead in-soles for boots. Why have the weight outside and catching round the ankle when there is room inside; and it can use some of the volume that the problem air is currently using? Depends how smooth an edge I can get and if it is comfortable enough under thick socks; just an experiment at the moment. Added advantage of being able to stand on radioactive surfaces. Cheers, M |

If that does not work use a sharp cold chisel and just work your way down the lead. If that does not give you a clean enough finish use a hack saw blade held loose in your hand. Just keep the teeth free from the swarf that it will generate. taz. |
