Well, a securely tied rope may still retrieve what's left of the box, if it
comes to that. OTOH the depth corresponding to the length of rope paid out
when all tension disappears in the rope can be taken to be the crush depth
for the purposes of this experiment. Wouldn't it be fun if the box survived
100m?

Tom Rose put a flash in a Pelican Micro Case and it is reported to work
well - look here http://www.atlimp.com/slaveflash.htm
