| I'm not sure what you mean when you say you don't expect any dives to exceed the two hour limit on the evolution. Once you start diving trimix, it's very easy to get a 2hr plus dive, especially if you are conservative on your deco. And the weight thing is a bit of a red herring. If the weight isn't in the unit, it gets to be on your waist etc etc. I'm not sure what the buoyancy characteristics are of the evolution v the inspiration. That will be the thing which impacts on lead for diving. Personally, having had to pay a fortune to ship the inspriation abroad, and bearing in mind that a lot of airline are now banning bags over 32lbs completely, even in "oversized" baggage and even when paying excess baggage, I see the principle advantage of the evolution being for diving anywhere you can't take the car. My teo hapence worth anyway. Digs |

Well on all the trimix dives I have been on so far and listened to the planning of, so far none have gone over 1Hour 30 mins most are around 60mins (dive plan not bailout). And I don't think I would find partners for the longer dive times easly. All of them have been planned using Decoplan with the GF's set for 10/80 and the 21M stop extended to 3 or 5min. to permit gas flushing which seems to be effective. They are all warmish dives all over 20deg and most around 24deg > > And the weight thing is a bit of a red herring. As I almost never dive in the country I live it is a significant point. for me now. > If the weight isn't in > the unit, it gets to be on your waist etc etc. As above, I get it where I go. > I'm not sure what the > buoyancy characteristics are of the evolution v the inspiration. I'm sure Ambient Pressure Diving has got it right. > Personally, having had to pay a fortune to ship the inspriation abroad, > and bearing in mind that a lot of airline are now banning bags over > 32lbs completely, even in "oversized" baggage and even when paying > excess baggage, I see the principle advantage of the evolution being > for diving anywhere you can't take the car. I think you meen kg not lbs each when diving I would be really happy. FWIW how heavy is a real life inspriation? With that information I can look at Ambient Pressure Diving and work out the real weight of the evolution. They give the weight of the inspriation as 29.2kg with Sofnolime and medium harness and counterlungs and the same setup evolution at 24.4kg So it looks as if the difference is probably 4.5kg alowing for the lower weight of the kitty litter. So I would like to know if the weights quoted are roughly correct > > My teo hapence worth anyway. > > Digs -- >replace spamblock with my family name to e-mail me |
