Sounds a bit like the classic Suunto problem - have you closed down all IR
and USB listeners before you do this? They hog the COM Ports and don't let
old technology through...

Sounds a bit like the classic Suunto problem - have you closed down all IR
and USB listeners before you do this? They hog the COM Ports and don't let
old technology through...

That rang a bell, I had the devils job getting a computer talking to a
gadget by com port , so I bought a Belkin Hi Speed Usb 2.0 dockstation.

Plug it in by USB and gives you:
com port
parallel port
2 USB ports
1 Network connection
VGA in/out.

Meant to make laptop connection simple - you connect up all your stuff
to it and then when you get home, you plug in 1 usb and your away.

Anyway, solved my problem instantly - and only £20 from pc world!
