Nice one Alain.

Here is one three of us put together.

4 hour burn time
3 hour charge time, without opening canister
10W HID Welchallyn M10N002
Switch on the torch, with no mechanical incert through the body
No moving parts in the head (no reed relays etc)
All alluminium, bomb proof!
Borosilicate lens
Wet connector to battery pack
Tested to 50 Mtrs, but is expected to do at lease 100Mtrs
Drop tested

Complete head.jpg is a view inside the head
Complete torch.jpg is the whole thing
torch 2a.jpg is all the parts for 1 HID head, 1 Battery pack & 1 Halogen
head
Battery charge.doc is the battery charging cycle

what is the torch made of ? Aluminium ?

Another beautifully engineered torch! Thanks very much for showing us the
pictures, especially the Torch.JPG.

What were the facilities that you needed to produce that? There's some very
nice machining that I assume a small engineers lathe could produce and some
good quality aluminium welding in there.
