It is freezing most of the time, try late august / early september and the
water will only be very cold.

We did Scapa Flow last April.
Viz was not perfect but still excellent diving.
Temperature on deck and underwater was definitely not a problem.

According to the locals, the timeslot with the best viz slides a
little bit back each year.
So anytime between may and September should be ok
Next year we will return in September. Not for the temp but for the
viz.
