Most holiday insurance covers diving, typically up to something like
either 10m or 30m, often with a restriction that you have to be with a
guide or instructor. These would cover the gf but not sure about you.
For a lot of holiday/occasional divers it is fine.

Have a look at the policies at www.moneysupermarket.com or www.costout.co.uk
and compare.

I have had a quick look. Basic worldwide single trip insurance starts at
about £60(couple) with scuba to 30m if adequantly supervised..

Alternativly you can get a worldwide annual insurance for £66.00 (couple)
which include scuba (again under supervision) which may or may not be
suitable for your needs.

If you travel more than once a year and both are going to dive (i.e an
"introductory" dive is asking for trouble!!) then maybe consider a more
comprehensive scuba travel insurance. I pay £126 for a couple 12 months with
www.scubasure.co.uk but others are avaliable.
