Hilton Plaza is a bit of trek from anywhere, depends who you are diving
with. Hilton Resort (there are two Hiltons) is where emperor divers are
based. Decide on a dive centre and then stay at the hotel where they
are. Hurghada is massively drawn out over a huge stretch of coastline
with various areas to go out in - not like Sharm where there is Naama
Bay - you have the main "old" town, Sekalla where you have Papas Beach
Bar, various other bars and restaurants and then lots in between. Best
advice would be to choose a good dive centre and stay near it - there
are a million cheap mini buses and taxis to get you where you want to
be of an evening if you are not staying there already

The Arabia Beach Hotel has a housereef.
Otherwise, Hurghada is a shithole.

Confirm prior to booking that there will be no russians in the hotel and
on the boat.
