| I did a similar tour to you a few years ago (Singapore, South Africa, Dubai) Don't bother with Singapore... the water is dirtier than UK waters. Malaysia is a totally different kettle of fish. I actually joined a 3-day organised trip from Singapore to an island off the east coast of malaysia (forget the name), and did perhaps the best dives I've ever done. If you can get them to include South Africa...drive down to durban for a weekend, and do some dives off Aliwal shoal - the guys there are crazy (in a good sense). Just watch out... on my return to jo-burg, I hung the wetsuit in my shower, and was told on my return that night that the cleaner had thought someone had hung themself!. Checking out was interesting too - the manager thought I was nicking half the stuff in the room with the size of my bags!
