Go to you GP and ask about jabs - I think they gave me Hepatitis, tetanus
etc - it was all free

You only need a medical if you answer yes to any question on the PADI form,
or go on a liveaboard

Hi!
Your local GP (or more likely a nurse at the practice) can advise you
on jabs.
You probably are already up to date on tetanus and polio.
I would recommend hepatis A and typhiod too. These are free and last
for a few years.

Medical cert not required - if you have doubts about your own fitness
to dive, then get a diving medial done in the UK before you go. If
you're confident about you're fitness to dive then you can self certify
when you get there and sign up for dive course / diving.

I've been to Egypt twice so far this year (Hurghada and live aboard)
and not been asked to show any medical certs - just diving though, no
courses.

Have fun! Jules.

Default Help needed for med certs etc for Red Sea Dive

As a fairly new diver looking forward to diving in the Red Sea later this
year, could you please give some advice on what jabs, medical certs, etc
will be needed. I don't want to arrive in a suitable state of excitement
only to find out that I can't dive because of a mistake or an oversight on
my part.

I don't know where I'm going to dive just yet so if there are regional
requirement perhaps you could help me on that also.

Your help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Jim
