A local doc charged £28 (GBP) for a medical cert. My fault though. The dive
schools give you a medical questionaire and TELL you if you answer yes to
ANY question, even if you say yes you could be pregnant and you're male,
they WILL insist you provide a medical certificate. The question of
injections was never mentioned.

Having had a medical for a HGV licence and paying £95 in UK I don't think
£28 is too bad

This is for Hurghada

Hi!
Your local GP (or more likely a nurse at the practice) can advise you
on jabs.
You probably are already up to date on tetanus and polio.
I would recommend hepatis A and typhiod too. These are free and last
for a few years.

Medical cert not required - if you have doubts about your own fitness
to dive, then get a diving medial done in the UK before you go. If
you're confident about you're fitness to dive then you can self certify
when you get there and sign up for dive course / diving.

I've been to Egypt twice so far this year (Hurghada and live aboard)
and not been asked to show any medical certs - just diving though, no
courses.

Have fun! Jules.
