That's a bugger, although I've still got my Vyper and recently changed the battery I am going to pass it onto my daughter since I've just bout a SH Quantum. At £80 for the official interface it can stay in the shop. -- Ian "Democracy, what we need - Kakistocracy what we've got" |

Singapore is often a good bet for electronic toys, but it's possible the volume is not large enough. I do recall the Suunto interface being £60 or so originally. IIRC I paid £45 for mine but they're down to £25 or so for copies on Ebay now. I guess that he would give us a good bargain, if we ordered a certain amount of these. How are the rules in UK for import from the US? Is there a minimum before VAT is added? I live in Denmark, and we have 25% VAT on everything above 15 US$! -Henrik -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 18 spam emails to date. AIUI and I am not a tax expert if the value is less than £7 then there's no duty payable, between £7.01 and £18 there's only import duty at 3.5% and above £18 import duty and vat at 17.5%. If the amount of import duty is less than £7 then it will normally be waived. There's also a possibility if the package is picked for opening that a handling charge will be applicable. -- Ian "Democracy, what we need - Kakistocracy what we've got" |

Take 2 Apex Quantum interfaces and unscrew the casings, Discard the innards, Using gaffer tape (or to give its it proper name -Fabric Engineering) form a 'tunnel' with the 8 halves of the limbs. Now weave the cable to the top and bottom, remembering to leave a slot for 'washer insertion'. When full with any denomination of washer this will magically amount to exactly the amount needed to procure your own legitimate 'shop fresh' interface.... If you ask around I'm sure some of the other UKRSers will have a website with step by step pictures cheers P |
