| "I am selling these on behalf of a blind person who finds it difficult to use eBay. The units were purchased in 2003 in order to do the training. The units have been used about 6 times in a swimming pool only." Excuse my apparently 'blindest' attitude, but do/have blind people ever dived? Is it something that could be rewarding to someone with one sense already removed? I started off this comment thinking 'no way', but I guess they could enjoy the weightless bit , does it happen? -- I was already qualified and reasonably experienced before I lost my sight 6 years ago. I took diving back up and have not looked back. In fact, I have just become the first blind diver to qualify on an Inspiration at Mod1 level. If anything this makes it more interesting diving on the rb as I can use my hearing much more underwater now. There is a BSAC branch set up and run by blind divers for blind divers, the Dogfish Diving Club who have a website. http://www.dogfish.plus.com/df_index.html Regards, Mark T |

A freind of mine is blind. There are times I still stop and wonder at some of the things he enjoys but not having 30 years practice and for it to be normal I just have to accept that not seeing is by no means the limitation to him that it would be to me. nigelH |
