We don't have a great need for boosting the oxygen, as we have a plentiful supply and it's dirt cheap, (Though it could be a nice tool for getting HP oxygen on our expeds, and reduce the number of 02 J's we currently take, so certainly nice to have!) What we do have an issue with is Helium. Last time we refilled the groups helium J's I managed to borrow a haskal, and got lots of helium out of "Empty" J's. It could be very useful to have such an item for this purpose. To get the countries cheapest DG helium we have to get it shipped all the way from Stavanger, and we only own 6 J's between us, which soon get demolished by 18/45 fills. So my (Maybe dumb?) question, does this booster work for helium too? I would think it does, but helium is a funny old gas, and so I thought I should ask before taking this further. Also how heavy is it? I am going back to the UK shortly and this will be coming back with me on the plane. What is the going rate for one of these then? My boosting experience is limited to using a borrowed small booster made by a bloke in Canada (Who makes the KISS I think) to boost oxygen into 3L CCR bottles, and using a "Haskal" to empty the Helium J's a few weeks ago. I am therefore a boosting n00b! =) Both these boosters used compressed air to drive the boosting process. The haskal was much louder than the mini booster. /MD |

| I can see it's £650 and 3KG on this one, what I meant was, is this the norm for such items? Thanks, MD |
