Brought regs back from Portugal in September during the main airport alert
period, no problems. Everything was inspected very closely so be prepared
to unpack hand baggage.

Graham.

I second that. Went to Egypt from Dublin via Gatwick. Security is tighter
from Gatwick but no problems carrying regulators, but I had to empty my hand
luggage going from Dublin as they weren't used to big lumps of metal going
through their x-ray machines but once I explained what they were (they were
also curious about my underwater housing for my camera) there was no problem
bringing them onboard. I flew Ryanair from Dublin to London and British
Airways from London to Egypt.
