I know where you're coming from, yes fine. With a couple of layers of thin jogging suit I would come out of the N Sea wishing someone would offer to unzip me really fast- I was too hot in there. The only time I EVER had water in my suit was when I'd forgotten to connect my dry suit hose on the surface and did so a few metres down, where it pushed in a bit of water with the first blast of air.
