| My missus & I are selling our small motorhome. I know it may seem a little odd posting this on a scuba NG, but the reason is that we bought this 'van for its this particularly diver-suitable layout. In brief, its a 1998 SWB Ford Transit 2.5 Diesel, professionally converted into a Reimo motorhome with: Power Steering, remote central Locking, sliding side door & twin rear doors, electric adjust & heated mirrors, front driving lights, Cobra alarm (new), CD/Radio/MP3 player with USB input. Reimo High top Two berths (two single beds or one double) Dining table & post with seating for four. Propex warm-air heating Fully insulated walls & roof, with windows & roof light / vent. Zig charger with 85AH leisure battery 240v hook up Status TV / radio roof aerial. reading lights & 4 internal strip lights Large above-cab storage area & shelve along both sides (head height) The rear compartment (with wipe clean cushionfloor) has: Two burner Smev hob & sink (stainless steel) 80L Fresh water tank External shower head Porta-potty toilet 3 way fridge with freezer compartment Four shelves and several cupboards The 'van has full service history and has only done just over 34K miles from new (it's recent full service included the cam bet at 32K miles), dealer warranty for 7 months. We used it for a dive trip to Oban this year and, in addition to all the normal clothing, food & toiletries, books etc, it also happily carried our two twin-sets, stage bottles a pair of 15's, drysuits, wings, HID torches, spools and all the other crap for two divers and still averaged a bit over 35MPG! Compared to similar other small motorhomes, which are fetching about £15,000 + for a lower spec, we are looking at £13K ONO. Reason for sale: Need the cash for the buying rebreathers and all the required courses (and an O2 booster pump) for both of us! We'll miss the van TonyH. |
