Default O'three PBB undersuits

Any opinions on the O'Three undersuit/base layer?

I'm thinking of buying a pair for use with a ND CNX drysuit

I bought a new O'Three drysuit earlier this year and decided to "upgrade"
my thermals at the same time. Prevoiusly I had a C-Bears thinsulate,
which has dome me well for the past 7 years with my old O'Three suit.

The PBB stuff is lighter, and just as warm in a single layer as my old
C-Bears thinsulate - so a 2nd layer (I only bought one set!) would be
excellent for winter diving I reckon. I find the PBB stuff much more
flexable and comfortable under the suit too.

Buy an O'Three suit to match it too

I bought an Ri 2/100 dry suit with a Point Below base undersuit last August.
Have worn both through the winter in water down to 3 degrees centigrade.

Over the winter in addition to the PBB I added a further (cheap) short
sleaved thin thermal base layer (£5 from Matalan) and an extra 2 kilos of
lead to allow me to put a bit more air in the suit and that was enough to
keep me sufficently warm for 45 minutes. It was my cold fingers that drove
me back to the surface each time not the undersuit.

I think the PBB is about £100 so for that money there are a lot of other
good undersuits out there but the PBB is up there with them in my view.

The Ri 2/100 is a great suit to (off the peg made to fit) I find it gives me
so much more freedom of movement than my old suit did.

Regards

Jules
