John, did you try the York Police Department? It's possible that
someone turned the stuff in.

I did call YPD the same day, and gave them a description and contact
info. I'm pretty sure the Welcome Center is closed this time of year,
though. (There was fresh snow that day and no tracks to or from the
building by sunset.)

Though the fins are expensive and losing the weight belt is annoying,
and it would certainly be nice to get everything back, the thing that
pisses me off the most is losing the old mask. High-volume "window
pane" style masks are getting hard to find. (I have a very nice Mares
X-Vision that's OK, but still prefer the old style ones.)

I'd hate to lose some of my sentimental gear, too.

I'd try emailing dive shops within 100 miles and ask them to post your
description. They may have already heard about the gear being found.

I'll go out on a limb and say that most divers would try to get the
gear back to the original owner. Most.

Putting up a flier at the dive site might help, although it may not get
seen much until warm weather.

Set up a repeating search on eBay to see if yoiur mask pops up.

Good luck. I'll ask around, too.

Dave

Send me an e-mail with your address in it. I have an old Scuba Pro
hi-volume mask that I was going to put up for sale with an e-Bay agent
that I'll give ya. I would rather give it to an active diver than
screw with selling it.

I've been getting a lot of that in the last month or so. Or, the
recipient will get it 2 days to 3 weeks after I sent it.

That address should have had a "NOT" in it rather than "INVALID".
Which would mean that Agent is still copying the wrong address. Crap!

Here ya go.
