Default Hawaii Big Island Scuba Operations recommended?

I am thinking Kona and/or Jack's Locker.

Any experiences?

I liked Kona. Good weather and good access to dive sites. Not too
impressed with Jack's Locker. Had more fun shore diving.

And a damn fine one, at that.

Depends on what your experience level is.

Dive Maiki is by far the better operator. They will let you dive your
own profiles, minimal hand holding, the capt's and DMs are more attuned
to caring for the natural environment and know more about the endemic
creatures around the area.

Jacks is your typical dive cattle operation. The DMs are somewhat less
experienced, like to dig octopuses out from under rocks, require group
dives, charge a lot for a little, etc.

You should be pleased. Expect a rather large packet of information
from them. More than just an email.
