| Dick, I would highly recommend using the Submersion Excursion charter service. Unlike other services this dive charter service holds a 100 license and offers unlimited state wide diving opportunities. Additionally, you may private charter to the bahamas, island hop, bare-bones throught the dry tortugas, or even run to Cuba.....if your papers are in order.... Based out of Nokomis the charter offers local service to the 'boneyard' where you can try your hand at hunting fossilized shark teeth; dive local reefs and caverns; spearfish; tech dive a +141 foot long german freighter or an elusive aeroplane at 100+ feet, or just hunt dead pirates ...... I believe that they have available air, nitrox, and trimix gas fills upon request.... They ususally run an ad in scuba news, you can reach them at 941-488-2257, or submersionex@yahoo.com The last time i ran with them their two tank rate was $50.00 for a half day and the all day bayronto and aeroplane trip ran +150.00...they provided a clean head, fresh towels, snacks, water, sodas, fruit, and yogurt on all of my dives.....i think that their private charters begin at around $600.00 for upto 6 divers...a full day including an additional lunch..you might ask... i seem to remember that they also offer reasonable seaside lodging on Casey Key. I hope that you can hook up for a memorable dive. i did. Good Luck, EP Dick wrote: >I will be spending a few days in Del Ray Florida around early Feb/2006. There's several regular contributors on rec.scuba* who live & dive in the greater West Palm Beach / Ft. Lauderdale area. This past June, I did a quick weekend jaunt to WPB get some diving in (and to beg some free beer that we used were top notch. One of their preferred boats (and the one we used that weekend) is Splashdown Divers, out of Boynton Beach. That's around 5 miles north of Delray, FL. Their website is: http://www.splashdowndivers.com FWIW, this was live boat diving, and at least for me, there's always a bit of a pucker factor watching the boat come in do do their pickup until I get to know & trust the captain's boat handling skills. I was particularly pleased with Captain Lynn & her crew...a sharp team. -hh |

| Hi Dick, I have been visiting delray beach area for the past 15 years as my grandparents lived there. I dived a lot with Force E right in delray and in boca (they have two shops). And I also love the boat Destiny in Deerfield Beach with Captain Tony from SunStar Aquatics. His phone is 561-368-9952. Tell him Jamie from New York said hello. Have fun diving.
