| I just added the various newsgroups I monitor to my Outlook Express Bellsouth account and something weird is going on. Even after I catch up my rec.scuba.locations group, I am told there is 1 unread message, but no messages show up when I download headers. Anybody else having this problem? Lee |

I'm not having this problem. I think Dan B. might be on to something . . .or not. |

| I have the same issue every once in a while. Sometimes with more than 1 message. My theory is that the server does get a new message that the ISP for whatever reason cannot push to the client PCs. It's a definite maybe that Lee was peeping at too many of the posts of mine which he had put in the "block sender's list". He did it so many times that even the newsreader couldn't count straight. Make that a probable definite maybe!! -- Bob. |

Whatever it was, it seems to have cleared up. I suspect it had something to do with whatever OE uses to tell a read message from one that has not been read. I deleted all the headers, caught the group up again and, somewhere in the process, seem to have cured the problem. Strange. Lee |
