Google Monterey, as that's the area you'd be diving. www.diver.net is a
primary California dive resource, with a searchable BBS and a comprehensive
list of dive boats. I'm a southerner, so can't really help with specifics,
but I know Pt. Lobos is a popular marine sanctuary suitable for most
cold-water-experienced divers.

You'll mostly want to focus on the Monterey area, about 90 minutes to the
South.
