Guess who couldn't predict it

"I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees. They did
anticipate a serious storm. But these levees got breached. And as a
result, much of New Orleans is flooded. And now we are having to deal
with it and will."

"His statement gives us pause; is our predictive technology that
rudimentary? No, we know better, our technology is top notch. But did
decades of loud clamoring for levee repairs go unheard? No, we heard
the warnings. Are we then left to question the acuity our leader? "Not
anticipated", "could not have predicted"...Its business as usual."

Somebody should give that man a newspaper and a television, that's all
they were talking about as the storm approached.

Someone should inform the Dept of Homeland security that FEMA did
scenarios involving "Hurricane Pam"--a serious hurricane hitting New
Orleans.

Rearranging bureaucratic boxes is the way they respond to any disaster,
it gives the appearance they are doing something. Sept 11 moved FEMA
from cabinet level to under Homeland Insecurity. They dropped the ball
this time. I wonder what their plan is for the first week after a
biological attack.

Next they'll be blaming faulty intelligence

Dennis

You'd better be able to take care of yourself for the first week.

Food, water, defense, medical needs, sanitary needs, etc.

I plan on a month. With guests.

But they say I am paranoid.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

I think you have this planned just right.

Total nuclear annihilation. My preparations and plans always end up as me
being the last man alive on Earth and the only other survivors being a cast
of Vegas showgirls that hid away inside a casino vault. It's imperative
that I get the vault open before they suffocate so I always add
safe-cracking tools to my save-a-disaster kit.

You just hope that in such a sitation there is a bar handy......Or a
liquor store.

That's another reason why I end up in the casino. If the showgirls die
before I can get to them, I spend my last days alone and very drunk.
