My wife and I were in Marathon a couple of weeks ago. We used Abyss Dive
Center, www.abyssdive.com, and had a great time with them. They are
reasonably priced ($46 w/o tanks - $55 w/ tanks or there about) and max 6
divers on the boat, which is real nice.

every winter conditions vary wildly, most like to wear atleast a
shorty wetsuit, January 2003 was the pits all month long , I hope it
doesn't do that to us again.

The Busch is a really nice dive, more info:

Often underappreciated and underutilised for dive planning (never seen
it mentioned here, but I am an infrequent poster) around the Keys is
diving by the tide.
Here in the Lower Keys one of the better times to dive the reef is
well into the incoming (high) tide.

one of the worst times to dive is late during a heavy outgoing. a
matter of hours can make a difference in vis down here, some days
there will be dramatic differences. Since you have the luxery of
planning so far in advance you might check Saltwatertides.com and try
to plan dives when its high tide at nearby reporting stations.......
