Headed to Santa Fe to meet up with relatives for Thanksgiving. I was coming down with the flu already and seeing my relatives made it worse. Stayed a few nights at the La Fonda, had Thanksgiving dinner at the Inn of the Anasazi, plenty of breakfasts/lunches at Cafe Pasquale, and obligatory margaritas (and dinner) at Maria's. A fun time, while I was in bed with a 101-degree fever in between margaritas and relative visitings. The train ride back was horrible, even with the sushi prelude. Unlike the ride there, they didn't upgrade us to the deluxe room, and our "roomette" was a very uncomfortable closet. So much for Amtrak. I'd fly next time in a heartbeat, but I hadn't taken the train in many years and thought it would be "romantic". Romantics obviously never had the flu. |

It works different in the Keys. I fed this really hot drunk chick Sashimi with chop sticks and and she jumped naked in a pool. But I spent the night with Limey Dave, so I guess in the end it worked out pretty much the same. -- "Every man feels meanly towards himself for not having been a soldier". Dr. Johnson |

I hate all places with concentrated populations. How elbow room you get on Hawaii? The dez is a great place, especially when you get up in the mountains and rock formations. Ade and I sat through an amazing cloud burst/thunder storm north out of Shiprock as we were coming down out of Utah and Arches National Park. If memory serves, it is all part of the Great Basin. |

Can you believe that there are people who want to rename that road. They consider it an affront to the religion. LOL What I really loved about driving that route was that right there, just outside of Farmington, where we would turn onto 666 when driving from ABQ to SLC, was a Baptist Church. That used to just crack me up. Oahu has a population of ~900,000. 750,000 of whom live in the Honolulu metro area. You get to some of the outer islands, like Molokai'i, and the population drops into the thousands. |

That used to just crack me up. The number comes from Rev:13:18; " Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." Doesn't say anything about roads or buildings, credit card numbers or any other nonsense. http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/infrastructure/us666.htm But, apparently it was renamed. > Oahu has a population of ~900,000. 750,000 of whom live in the Honolulu > metro area. "The most preposterous notion that H. sapiens has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. | "Scott" <pugetsounddiver@gmail.com> wrote in message news:MqYYe.57$Aj4.3831@news.uswest.net... You ment "haole." This is the only state in the nation where it is legal and even encouraged to be a racists. I've sat at dinner with very fine, well dressed folks who refer to me as a "haole." They insist it is not a racist term. Just a description: like asian-american or latino. As I leave that dinner and walk down the street to my car, someone will drive by and scream: "you f*cking haole." "HAOLE" IS A RACIST TERM! However, the racism is on your part! Now do something about it! |

| Didja ever hear about "Kill a Haoie Day!"? On the last day of school ... for decades .... the Haole kids were roughed-up and worse! It is the Code Red of Hawaii. Unspoken outside cause of how it would effect tourism. About 60 years ago it also included the Japanese as the target population. After Pearl Harbor .... the Japanese took control of both State & City Government. Almost like a secret deal was made on the battleship Missouri after US dropped the bomb. Kinda like ... sorry .... you can have Hawaii }^; None of this effects the Groups topic ... still some of the Best Scuba Diving on the Planet! P.S. If you ever find out who kicked out that Dogs teeth and broke his ribs .... Please Post ... would love to get the identity of abusers aka bullies of animals or people known to one + all! Anyone remember the movie "Star Chamber" (think it was called) with Michael Douglas about Judges turned Vigalanties? Where do I sign-up? Maybe I'll start a Group? Why not ... Pat Robertson can advocate and solicit for Captiol Murder on TV and not get a Federal Inditment! I rather favor the Spike from "Angel" method of torture for those who favor torture of others. Can never equal the pain they inflected on others but at least give it a go! |

No, all we could learn was that he was in jail for manufacture of meth and for animal abuse. To be honest I am glad they wont tell us. I would be bound by duty and honor to go chain him, by the neck, to something, feed him generic dog food once a week whether he needed it or not, and kick his teeth out and ribs in. Important thing is that Hansamu is all better now. In a home with people who love him, good food and a nice bed to sleep in. |
