Default New York City - Best Dive Class?

My wife wants to get certified so we can both dive on our honeymoon
which we are finally taking in May. Anyone New Yorkers out there who
got certified in Manhattan and know of a good quality place she can go
to get PADI certified between now and end of May? Thanks in advance.

I don't know if he is still in business, but there used to be a fellow
named George Horn who had a shop in the New York area .
Scuba Divine

I have never met him, but he used to post on rec.scuba some years ago.
I have only heard good things about him.

Friends in NYC like these guys: http://www.villagedivers.com/

They are NAUI and SSI, but that shouldn't make a difference to you.

I'd trust my wife with George ... well, for dive training. Well, and
for motorcycle stuff too

Not sure if he's still around anymore or not. If he is, tell him that
you were sent by "The Sea-horses of Jamaica Bay". Expect a brief
blank look ... and then a loooong laugh.

Ya'll don't celebrate Easter in September down there? Easter is defined
in relation to the Spring Equinox and as such, it would make sense for
ya'll to be 6 months out of phase with us up here...
