What do you think Florida's "stand your ground" law will do?

Decrease safety 36%
Not affect safety 12%

Default Florida tourists warned

The Brady Bunch has started a campaign to warn tourist visiting
florida. They do not like Floridas new gun law and are trying to use
the tourist industry as a lever.

They are passing out brochures at the airports not to be aggessive,
argumentative, or make rude or threatening gestures to the armed
residents.

The new law is having benefits already, now if we could get them to
give the warning before the rude, argumetative, threatening tourists
fly down, that would be an accomplishment.

It won't do anything except codify something that common sense suggests,
that law abiding citizens who chose not to run away from criminals, are not,
automatically, labeled criminals themselves.

I wondered what the hell was going on - - - everyone is being so
kind and polite down here lately.

Those Brady brats are really OK!

Don't forget the website:

http://www.shootfirstlaw.org/

"The Florida statute was passed over the strong objections of law
enforcement officials and prosecutors. Broward County Sheriff Ken Jenne
opposed the law because 'it's easy to say after the fact, I felt
threatened.' Willie Meggs, President of the Florida Prosecuting Attorneys
Association, said prosecutors are 'concerned that it will provide a defense
to someone who uses force that doesn't necessarily have to be done.'"

"We intend to place travel advertisements to warn these tourists and
potential tourists, in key U.S. gateway cities feeding tourists to Florida,
starting with Chicago, Detroit and Boston, and in selected overseas markets
beginning with the United Kingdom, that this risk exists. Educational
materials about the law were shipped to more than 120 leading U.S. and
international journalists as well as trade publication editors in the travel
industry and editors at consumer travel magazines."

"Trained staff will distribute educational materials on this subject to
arriving passengers at Miami International Airport beginning Monday, October
3, and may be extended to additional airports in the coming weeks
Advertisements in travel sections of U.S. and British newspapers begin
Sunday, October 2 and the Brady Campaign is pursuing advertising in Germany,
Japan, Columbia and Venezuela."

I'm surprised they left out Canada. This is gonna be bigger than Hare
Krishnas, Jews for Jesus, or those nurses holding the buckets, whatever they
collect for.

I''ll contact my state legislature & see if we can't get a similar law
passed here.

Out here guns are a serious faux pas.

And people are very polite.

Too polite sometimes. The wife and I call it "driving Hawaiian."

No guns needed.

Maybe you should give it a try.

Hey, shit for brains, have you ever actually been out here? All right then,
why the f*ck do you feel entitled to comment?!

Now, there is one subject you have felt quite free to comment on. A lot.

When you shipping out?!

Your very wet blanket.

Typical anti-gun mindless liberal delusions.

This week everyone's polite, last week, everyone's wispering racial
remarks and you're commenting on state approved racism.

That's like Mossman stating it's the job of the police to protect the
citizens, so no one needs a gun, and citing record freeway shootings in the
same post.
