I knew I liked that Eddie Compass but then after his resignation, I started
hearing that he'd been corrupt. I dunno.

Yeah, but it's "Business as usual in New Orleans"...

Apparently the police chief that resigned was forced out by Nagin... He rose
up through the ranks and was respected by all the officers, but somewhere
along the way, there was a disagreement between him and Nagin... Perhaps
Nagin thought he was slacking when he couldn't find the 10,000 bodies that
Nagin had promised...

As a New Orleans cop, I wouldn't be surprised... It's a different culture
over there... As one local told me, "We're a third world country -- and
damned proud of it"...
