No educated person is unaware we didn't do it alone. EVERYONE -is- keenly aware of their own countries contributions. Most of us are also aware of our various shortcomings, only you seem to harp on it, but only US shortcomings. You fault us for trying to stay out of it and then fault us for being very little help, and inept, when we did come in. |

Gee what a hypocritical attitude. In 1939 the US was saying the same thing, It wasn't our war, its a European thing, Hitler wasn't attacking us. And the Europeans and canuks have harped on that fact for the last 70 some odd years that we were late to the party. We should have left the Europeans to themselves then, and went after the country that attacked us, after all according to more than a few posters here in the past England didn't need us they had Germany licked.. Instead we let the Asian problem fester and the Japs build up the Pacific region while we went to Europe first. The thing I remember most from history, is the way Hitler found the exact same train car the Germans were forced to sign the WWI surrender and made the French do the same thing when they cleaned their clock, the same rail car in the same location, history in reverse. It was Europe's insistence on massive reparations after WWI that plunged Germany into financial ruin that allowed that bastard Hitler into power. And there were what, eight or better, European countries that together could have stopped one single country from building up, but chose to appease and hope that Hitler would leave them alone if they gave into his demands. It was like a salamander giving up his tail in hopes the attacker would be satisfied with it. |

The enemy isnt America, Cananda or Dubya. A blind man could see that through his boots (which is why the moonbats havent yet figured it out). http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060913...sattackseurope |

I note no qualification now, so, you are faulting the US for staying out of WW II until Hitler declares war on the US, yet you would keep Canada's troops out of Afghanistan based on "It is not our war. The people of Afghanistan did nothing to us.". Very similar to the isolationist policies of the US in WW II, with which, again, you have difficulty. Did you take a class to learn that level of hypocrisy, or does it come naturally? Dennis |

In the Helmand Province of Afghanistan the British are holding out against totally unexpected odds that even your own generals acknowledge to be the most ferocious and challenging theatre of combat anywhere in the world today, but don't expect Pox News to reveal that fact to the peasantry . The UK, Canada, Denmark and other allies make up about 40% of foreign troops in Afghanistan where they are demonstrating the reality of quality over quantity. Again. -- John Lubran |
