Default Congratulations America!

I almost didn't post this because I didn't want to gloat. But I changed my
mind.

It's a beautiful morning. Long Live Speaker Pelosi!

Call us in '08, when it matters.

Not if, but -when- I die, half the people around here
will party because they're my friends, and they know
I would demand that. The other half will party as well,
glad to be rid of me, and I'll see them in hell.

Obviously the House now belongs to the Democrats. I'm somewhat confused over the Senate though.
According to MSN.com, the balance currently sits at 48 Dems, 49 Reps, and 2 independants. MSN also
claims that the Dems will take over control of the senate if they win the last race. How do they
get control if the Dems and Reps each hold the same number of seats?

one of the independents is Lieberman - a Democrat - so while the seats
remain at a tie it actually isn't

i don't remember who the other independent is

The best thing that could have happened to the republicans for '08 maybe
the new speaker. time will tell

CNN is reporting things differently. They have 51 seats for the dems,
49 for the repubs, and 0 independents.

Not sure why there's a discrepancy.

Yeah, yeah,

We heard all about President Dean and President Kerry.

They had a better chance.
