Default suggestion for diving on Kauai

I'm heading to Kauai this week. Any recommendations for dive shops to dive
with and dive locations?

Thanks
Blair

Having dove with them twice, I'll beg to differ. Mind you, the crew has
always been great but the owner is a different matter altogether.

I can speak very highly of Bubbles below. I have dove with them on several
different occasions and Lynda, the owner, is very knowledgeable about the
creatures and dive sites surrounding the part of the island that they dive.
They do run a trip out to Nihau but I have never taken it as I am there in
the winter and the crossing is rough.

It is a small boat yet there is plenty of room for gear set up on the engine
cover. Their web site is http://www.bubblesbelowkauai.com/

Nonsense. I've known Linda for almost ten years, and she stands
out as one of the best dive masters in hawaiian waters.

Bubbles Below are certainly the best operator on Kauai, and
one of the best in the islands.

Anyone who might want a sample of 15,000 experienced divers.

I have only been to two sites to dive Kauai. As a beginning diver my input
may not be as valuable. I can however say with conviction that a boat dive
around the north shore (Napali coast) is easily worthwhile. The only down
side is that the stunning views above the water may distract you from the
dive. You can only reach the Napali coast by helicopter, boat or VERY
difficult hike.

I was not impressed with either the dive shop or charter operator that we
used.

Best regards,
R.B.

The north west shore of Kaua'i is incredibly gorgeous. It's 14 miles of
uninhabited shoreline with 1000' high cliffs rising right out of the ocean.
But, the winter swells have already started out here. Today it'll be a very
calm 6-8'. Last week we were seeing up to 15'. I think the Napali Coast is
closed for the season.

I disagree. Check my return address before you discount my opinion.
