Layang Layang

Hi there,
how about diving on Layang Layang at the end of October. Has anyone of
you been there at that time. Could you see sharks ?

I was there in May 2003, I saw hammerhead shark.

I saw in almost every dive. At least 3-4 hammerheads each dive. All at
Gorgonian Forest. The last dive, which I missed coz I was sick, my group saw
a big group (about 30, so they say!). What i didn;t like was, the group that
I was with, wants to go Gorgonian Forest all the time.... I mean, come
one.....aren;t there anywhere else? Anthing else other that hammerheads? I
was OD on hammerheads. So , the next trip, i went Sipadan, Mabul &
Kapalai.....hahahahha...the best so far....varieties of
everthing....specialities that I will not forget : flamboyant cuttlefish,
flying gunnard, mandarin fish,stargazer and of course the standard Sipadan
package for every dive, "Jacks, Sharks, Turtles, Barracudas". Too much that
I had to tell the DM I did not want to see anymore of those....but nothing
they can do except to tell me to close my eyes.....ahahhahahah....Only
regret, not lucky enuf to see the vortex of bararacuda but made up by
meeting a huge school of false orcas which we though was killer whales at
first. Definitely will go back there this year but next target Sangalaki!!!!
Anyone been there? Heard loads about it too. Mantas dancing.

First of all - no way to dive on Layang Layang in October, 'cause ... it's
closed
Choose another period March-Sept.
