Default "Thinking in C++" ; which free compiler, if any?

Hi! I've downloaded Bruce Eckel's free book, "Thinking in C++," and
he jumps right in. What do I need in terms of a compiler? I'm using
Win XP.

Can I get what I need for free, or do I need a commercial package?

Thanks,
Mitch

I'm not really sure what good the book will do since you can't read. If you
could read you would know this newsgroup is rec.scuba.locations..

I don't think the fact that I simply clicked the wrong group in Agent
is such a big deal. Are you really such an angry person?
