| A friend will be going to Rehobeth Beach soon and is interested in doing some diving while there. I have looked on the Web and can't find any shops in the area. We generally do our diving in northern NJ and NY so temperature etc. is not a concern. Does anyone know of a dive operation in this area? TIA |

There is diving from Indian River Inlet and from Ocean City, MD. Here's one in Indian River: http://www.surfaceinterval.net/ I don't know them; the boat I've used from IR is no longer in operation. Google will help find more ops in these places. The diving I did there is typical northeast diving - cold water, shitty vis, boat tied to wreck with no chase boat. Bring your big Dan Crowell reel, you'll need it to find your way back to the anchor line. |

But, saw the biggest and only Manta Ray I've ever seen on that 2nd dive, so it was worth it. -- Todd H. http://www.toddh.net/ |

| Check out the Surface Interval. As of last year, there were no dive shops in the area, but there might be one down in Ocean City (about 30 miles south of Indian River Inlet). There seems to be more diving in the OC area, but I'm not sure who is operating this year. Dive boats in this area mostly operate independently of dive shops so the bottom line is you need all your own gear including filled tanks, weights and water. March is early in the season. The Surface Interval has nothing scheduled until May 1.
