Idea for a NEWSGROUP Thread Filter!! (was Re: Lecture on "copyright" and "copyright violation")

That's pretty much the total content of SIX posts in the current
thread of 46 articles (google current count).

This is how the newsgroup thread filter (not yet patented, feel
free to steal and make millions out of it):

Option 1.

Filter all posts with MORE than (X) lines by the current poster,

Option 2.

Filter all posts with LESS than (X) lines by the current poster,

where X is a number/parameter chosen by the filter-user.

Subfilter Option: filter all one-liners whose total content
is "me too", "fuck you", "LIAR", and a
few other choices.

The "me too" is a well-known no-no in ALL newsgroups and LISTS.

The "fuck you" depends on the newsgroup.

The "LIAR" option would filter Lee's (and whoever else's) posts
of this genre in unsubstantiated claims.

You left out a much more effective filter:

If AUTHOR= "Large_Nassau_Grouper@Yahoo.com"

THEN DELETE

Much simpler, and has a much greater impact on the signal to noise
ratio.

I believe Lee Bell invented this filter out quite some time ago.

and it does a good job of taking out
the most boring tedious nit picking drivel filled posts well.
