| I have a upcoming work trip to the San Fransico area, and of cource I would like to get some diving in the area. Before the work starts I have a planned for a week of vacation, with the main objective to get some diving in the kelp forests. I have fond recommendations for two areas either Monterey Bay, or further south in the Channel Island going from Santa Barbara. Dopes any one of you have recommendations for a good dive operator in these areas, one that does take up single divers, as this is mainly a work trip and no of my colleges are diving (yet). Maybe the Monterey Bay area is most intresting as it's then possible to came back and dive for some of the weekends. If I understand corectly going to carliforina and diving I sould pack my dry suite and get somekind of a-clamp converter for my regulators. / Anders -- http://anders.arnholm.nu/ Keep on Balping |

It's a long way to Santa Barbara, but the Channel Islands are nearly guaranteed to be great, while Monterey will vary. Cypress Sea is the boat you want there, but I don't think it runs too many week days. In Monterey it's pretty easy to arrange DIN tanks. Down south it's a bit harder, but probably doable. Bring the yoke adapter as a backup. -- Jason O'Rourke www.jor.com |
