Default Live Aboards in the Caribbean?

Hi!

delurking a bit to ask the question:

Does any know of good diving live aboards in the Caribbean sea?

Preferably something like the australian "Undersea Explorer" where you
get tons of information about the ecosystem

TIA
Aleks

The Aggressors and Peter Hughes boats are excellent for diving but do not
stress ecosystem information. Depending on the captain and the divemasters
on a particular boat you would be able to ask them for information and they
would do their best to inform you and show you what you want to see.

Good ones
Peter Hughes
Aggressor
Caribbean Explorer
Nekton

Bad One
Bottom Time Two

For info on the ecosystem, you want Nekton. They have nightly
briefings on fish, turtles, coral, etc.

Don't you mean "Awful Time II"? Are they still in business?

I'm not sure. It's not googling well.

I found the boat to be cramped and uncomfortable. What didn't you
like about it?

I've found the answer to my own question by going to the "web" section
of Google search, with "Bottom Time II". It's apparently the same
boat and operation as the one I was on in the early 1990s.

The name "Awful Time II" was adopted by me after it was suggested by
some other reviewers because I thought it fit the liveaboard so well.

Actually, to be fair, I was on Bottom Time I twice -- that was a much
smaller boat, had a drunken captain, and was indeed AWFUL all around.
My trip on Bottom Time II was a discounted trip offered by the owner
to me for what happened on Bottom Time I.

I found this post of mine in google (in 1994) with reference to
Bottom Time II and Awful Time II and how it had been rated by the
readership of IN DEPTH:

Being cramped was the least of my problem with it. I think I
just disliked it all around as a liveaboard.
