| I am looking to take a trip to the Caribbean in mid December and I was wondering if anyone could provide opinions on where to go. I am a single diver; some of the live-aboards I have read about appear to be designed for diving couples (or pairs). I have looked at Peter Hughes and the Aggressor fleet in places like Belize, Turks and Caicos and the Bay Islands. I am leaning towards Turks but would be appreciative of any opinions, suggestions and guidance that could be thrown my way. --dctadpole ***************************************** * This message was posted via http://www.scubamonster.com * * Report spam or abuse by clicking the following URL: * http://www.scubamonster.com/Uwe/Abus...e641bc37dddda8 ***************************************** |

Here is a link.... http://www.caribexplorer.com/tcexhtml/turksindex.html Don't worry about being a single diver, you will encounter lots of them, you will be paired up with another diver, or you will have a room to yourself if they happen to have the extra space. It really is not a problem. Excellent wall diving, lots of fish, healthy coral. Great food. Aggressor also has a ship there, same itinerary, in fact, the two boats work together. email me at benner at personainternet dot com |

They are all good. I like the Dancers the best. I have been to all three of those locations and they all have good diving. If I were to choose one of those three for my next liveaboard, it would not be the Bay Islands. You can flip a coin between the two others. If you open it up to the whole Caribbean/Eastern Atlantic, I would probably do another Cayman Aggressor trip. I wouldn't do the Peter Hughes Grenada trip because I found Grenda diving to be ok, not great but ok. Tobago sounds intriguing but it is a bit of a hike from Toronto. I have no opinion of Blackbeards or the Aqua Cat, because I have not been on those boats. But then again, you might not have a choice. These boats might be booked already.
